Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO)?
A Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) is an entity that is created to leverage the purchasing power of a group of practices based on the collective buying power of its members.
Am I able to maintain my independence?
Yes. DPG provides you with the same type of discounts that a corporately run dental practice would enjoy, while maintaining your independent identity.
Do I have to use all of your vendors?
No. You can choose the vendor savings and revenue generating programs that work best for your practice. However, increased vendor use strengthens the ability of DPG to advocate on your behalf. We encourage you to take the time to explore all of DPG's vendor partners. We have chosen them for their value, quality and service they bring to DPG members.
Do I purchase directly from DPG?
No. You continue to purchase directly from vendors as you normally would.
Why group purchasing?
You can focus on your preferred area of interest which is practicing dentistry, while DPG negotiates on your behalf as a member of the group.
Are there volume requirements?
No. DPG vendor discounts apply to any size order.
What type of savings can I expect?
In order to best determine how much your individual or group practice will save, please contact a DPG representative. Current DPG members enjoy an average of 20% savings across a variety of DPG vendor programs.
How much does it cost to be a member of DPG?
After you experience the FREE 30-day trial, basic membership is only $99 annually.
